We create the highest quality organic CBD products to improve the quality of life for our customers.
We grow and refine USDA certified organic CBD products of the highest quality on our family owned farm in the Virginia Chesapeake Bay watershed. Very few CBD products on the market are USDA certified organic and as hemp cleans soils of toxins, only organic products can assure the user of purity.
We farm hemp sustainably and organically with no pesticides or insecticides, with the guidance of a master horticulturist with over 30 years of farming experience.
The hemp is hand seeded, cultivated and harvested at optimum bloom. It’s processed on site in a state of the art extraction facility meeting USDA organic extraction requirements. We control the process from seed to bottle and all products are independently tested by a third party laboratory.
A portion of our sales are pledged to support the environment.
2020 was our 2nd year and we’re excited for many more to come!

Her entrepreneurial spirit was sparked by her work as a business angel, helping startups in Europe and the US. Melanie is the Packaging and Fulfillment Coordinator at River Organics,...

Melanie is the Packaging and Fulfillment Coordinator at River Organics, but she does so much more. When she is not fulfilling orders, she can be found planting seeds, extracting CBD, bottling products, setting up wholesale accounts, or helping with various degrees of company marketing. She especially enjoys helping to create new products, caring for the seedlings in the greenhouse, and meeting people at events.
Originally from western Pennsylvania, Melanie moved to Virginia in 2005 after living in Hawaii for 4 years and spending a year in Iraq as a member of the Army Reserves. She received degrees in business from Hawaii Pacific University and Chaminade University of Honolulu.
Melanie managed an animal hospital in Yorktown, VA for 12 years before leaving to spend more time with her family. During this time, she became more interested in plants and completed the Extension Master Gardeners Course. She loves the opportunity to put these skills to work each day on the farm.
When not at work, Melanie enjoys spending time with her husband, son and two dogs. She is often found hiking with her son's Boy Scout troop or riding her mountain bike. She also enjoys traveling, cooking, reading and scrapbooking.

We are located in the Virginia Chesapeake Bay watershed, which provides habitat for thousands of species.
Our responsible and sustainable organic farming will help preserve the use of this treasured resource for all. We’re also here to help preserve and promote Virginia’s legacy of a vibrant agricultural economy, and to promote healthy lifestyles. We hope to continue that tradition for future generations.
